An imbalance of reproductive hormones is the primary factor in polycystic ovary disorders (PCOD), sometimes referred to as polycystic ovarian syndrome.
The ovaries experience issues as a result of the hormonal imbalance. The egg that is discharged each month as part of a normal menstrual cycle is produced by the ovaries.
The egg may not mature normally or may not be released during ovulation as it should be in cases of PCOD.
Missed or irregular menstruation cycles can be brought on by PCOD. Period irregularities can result in:
- Infertility (inability to get pregnant). In actuality, PCOD is one of the most typical reasons why women are unable to conceive.
